WEDDING SEASON

TV

DIRECTOR - EPISODES 4, 6, 7, 8

Wedding Season tells the story of Katie (Rosa Salazar) and Stefan (Gavin Drea) who fall for each other at a wedding and begin an affair, despite the former already having a fiancé. Two months later at Katie’s wedding, her new husband and his entire family are murdered. The police think Stefan did it. Stefan thinks Katie did it. And no one knows for sure what the truth is. What follows is an action-packed romp across the UK and US as Katie and Stefan go on the run, while trying to prove their innocence.

"A+...A fresh look at two much-loved genres, a rollicking, globetrotting, must-see adventure that’ll keep you laughing on the edge of your seat" Collider

"A fun and tense ride, with plenty of chemistry and humour" The New York Times

"Four Weddings and a Funeral meet Hitchcock in this hugely enjoyable comedy" The LA Times

"The show’s tight, propulsive episodes make it hard to stop watching. Salazar is, as always, a force of nature, and her chemistry with Drea sells even the loopiest moments."
TIME Magazine

"**** It’s a genre-defying show, part rom-com, part action thriller, part black comedy. And it is ridiculous — but brilliantly so. Wedding Season is the most fun I’ve had watching a murder mystery in a long time, reminiscent of another Disney+ hit, Only Murders in the Building... your loyalty will be rewarded with gasps, laughter and, ultimately, love" iNews

"The second that initial layer’s peeled, “Wedding Season” is off and running in another direction entirely — a murder mystery with roots in the kind of deep corruption that would give Jason Bourne nightmares". Variety

“Wedding Season” is really an exercise in storytelling, jumping back and forth between two incredibly densely plotted timelines without losing its grip on its tone"
The Playlist

“A wonderful feat of storytelling - Wedding Season will toy with you ruthlessly, and you will love every minute of it." The Boston Globe

"A clever, Hitchcockian romp" Roger Ebert.com

"Wild, unpredictable and slightly odd" The Guardian

"Something of a belter - pleasingly unDisney-like - sweary, sexy and darkly funny" The Times

"With globe-trotting locations, a propulsive plot and screwball feel, it's like a Hollywood style romp, after a script polish from Phoebe Waller-Bride. Say I do" The Times on Sunday
